It is planned for the group to meet every two months. The first meeting will be held at the Thorley Community Centre on Tuesday 2nd June, time 14:15 till 16:00.
Our first meeting will be a tasting of red wine and there will be six different versions for members to sample and try to guess the country of origin, year, cost and type of grape. It will be very informal and no knowledge is necessary.
Glasses will be provided. Just small tasters will be poured – you can choose to spit or swallow as you prefer!
It is hoped to arrange other events, including visits to vineyards and breweries, food and wine pairing and talks on specific drinks.
